A mountain biker discovers an ancient puppet show booth deep within the forest, and unfortunately, he is just in time for the show.

The challenge was to create a 1-3 minute short film to simplify the filmmaking process and allow me to focus on the preparation stages of a director’s job. However, as with most film projects, things weren’t as simple as they seemed. Teaming up with the immensely talented designer Charmaine Stewart, we ended up building a puppet theatre from scratch, as well as all of the puppets and their costumes.

One highlight for me was hearing amazing Phil Curran’s score for the first time…Magic.

I learned a lot from this one and worked with a hugely talented team which is always fun.
